"A book is a discrete collection of text (and other media) that is designed by the author(s) as an internally complete representation of an idea, or set of ideas; emotion or set of emotions; and transmitted to readers in various formats."
Hva er en bok og hva skal boka være i 2015 og utover, når den skal leve parallelt med PCen?
"The future of the book and the future of reading are possibly the exact same thing. Francesco Casetti defines a medium as a site of experience. Perhaps instead of thinking of a medium purely in material qualities, consider the experiental qualities and whether the phenomenological qualities of that experience can survive a change in materials." — Eric Hu

How can an electronic book be personal and unique?
User interaction?
"As a medium of information storage, the book has gotten too big to cope with itself"

i want to recreate the experience of this book in the digital
the personal, unique, intimate
it’s like a diary; journal —> blogs
why is a blog not a book?
i’m not sure that i think a digital book will ever exist
i think the book needs its physical, tactile dimension
each medium has its strengths and limitations
think rather about how to improve the reading experience on screen
maybe leave the book as it is
back to the future; the scroll
the notebook that lasts forever

how can i make something unique and personal digitally when it’s all numbers
anyway and can in theory be copied exactly
